Both a command and the result of doing so, this piece called “Listen” is meant to rest high on a wall. The tied on Claws, as Grief, can move around the face, yet are impermanent.

​A series of ceramic blocks and steel that portray the precarious balance of parenting one transitioning into adulthood and celebrating the triumphs within the tumultuous journey.

"Onward" Ceramic, Steel, Glaze, Oxides, Rebar 12 x 17 x 6 Year Completed: 2024 Description: Extruded and altered stacks with bright blue interior balanced on top of steel circle welded to a base, with rebar balanced beside it. This is a part of my series called: Senior. Influenced by my teen's interest in construction through the tumultuous transition year and his success.
