Throughout the many years of teaching and making, I have realized that certain basics must be known and accepted before you can build on your skills. Without certain building blocks, it's hard to truly understand clay. Part practical, part philosophical, I have distilled the most important aspects from teaching to help you avoid the pitfalls that keep artists from progressing in their clay practice. While I'm not claiming that you can master clay in one hour, you WILL have a clearer roadmap to become a better artist.
